First up was Lemon Sorbet...
Next up was Pioneer Woman's Vanilla Bean Ice Cream kicked up with some dark chocolate chips.
We, then, tried another recipe for Vanilla Ice Cream. I am not sure where this one came from. I would be willing to bet that the printed copy landed on my desk and has disappeared. Once upon a time I was organized; but in the famous words of Sweet Brown. "Ain't nobody got time for that!" Anyway, it was delicious and our favorite vanilla recipe so I need to find it before summer for sure. When I find it, I will pass it along.
Last, but definitely not least, was one of my very favorites of the summer. Cookies and Cream. This recipe is courtesy of the fabulous Jenn at Jenn's Food Journey. You can find her recipe here. I loved, loved, loved this one and will definitely be making it again this coming summer.

Candace, seriously, no more tempting me to buy the ice cream attachment! Cookies and cream is up there in my top 3 flavors, so you are not helping one bit :)

ReplyDeletei seriously laughed out loud "aint nobody got time for that" - sigh. so funny. the lemon sorbet would do me in, i seriously love all things lemon. but truly, how can you go wrong with cookies and creme??? might have to try some girl scout cookies for the cookie part next time (some samoas? maybe those peanut butter thingys?) - I'm also a mint choco chip lover :)
ReplyDeleteWe received an ice cream maker for out wedding, that I really want to put to use this summer. Seeing your post really is inspiring, and hopefully I take the time to pull it out and actually use it this summer!
ReplyDeleteI love making homemade ice cream, but who has time for that?! LOL!!! Seriously though, your flavors look delicious. I am big sorbet fan, so I think I will try that one first.
ReplyDeleteCandace, that lemon sorbet looks so good to me. I love lemon everything! I've developed a lot of ice cream recipes since I got a Cuisinart ice cream maker a couple years ago. It's the same idea as yours (a frozen gel canister), but I don't have a KA mixer so ... Isn't making ice cream fun!
