Along with enjoying the sights and sounds of Newbury Street, we, also, took in the The Museum of Fine Arts.
Dinner was in the North End, of course. The whole neighborhood smells amazing. I think it would be difficult to find a bad place to eat in the North End of Boston; but I used my Yelp app on my phone to find this restaurant. Do you use Yelp? If so, I would love to connect with you there. You can find me here.
My food was delicious at Assagio and I would definitely eat there again if there weren't so many other choices that I'm sure that I need to try. We had such a lovely time with family there.
Saturday was cloudy and cool; but Sunday turned out to be warm and sunny. It was an even better day to get out and explore the streets of Boston and take in one of my favorite places....Boston Harbor.
What's a trip to Boston without a pass through Fanueil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market? We couldn't resist a snack at Gourmet India.
Onion Bhaji - fresh veggies marinated in chickpea batter and fried |
Vegetable Samosas - vegetable turnovers made with diced potatoes and peas |
The trip was complete with one more stroll through the North End and a stop for some Lemon Sorbetto.
How did it compare with the sorbetto that
Lou makes at Marzelli's?
Lou wins, hands down.
I've got to get to Boston someday! My youngest brother lives there, so I'd have a great tour guide!
