July 2012 - The best things...


One of the best things about summer are the fresh tomatoes from the garden.  We love to have them sliced on top of toasted bread with plenty of mayo, salt and pepper.  This past summer, we kicked up them with the addition of fresh basil and sliced mozzarella.  I honestly did not  think that tomato sandwiches could get any better...



but they did.

Come on summer.

    Isn't it crazy, that in the summertime we have a garden full of tomatoes...and in the wintertime we'd love to have just ONE of those luscious fruits! sigh.

    yum...tomatoes are one of my addictions...this looks fantastic. I pinned a tomato sandwich that had an herbed spreadable cheese on a yummy toast with a yellow, green, and red tomato slice, can't wait to try it!
