That's not a snow bank on the bottom right of this photo. It's one of our cars. |
We were blessed. We got a lot of snow; but nothing like other parts of the state. Our snow event is over here; but it continues to our north. We are even seeing the sun shine out there right now.
It's really pretty; but it's way too early. I still have outside things that I want to do.
It's supposed to warm up this week into the 50's and that's a good thing.
We have plenty of snow to melt.
Just ask David.
Doesn't he look like he was having fun?
He was so good to get out there and shovel for us and take some photos for me while I stayed inside and drank coffee and decided what to cook today. This was not his favorite weekend activity, as you can see.
For the record, I was safe.
There was no way that he was going to throw that snowball at me inside the house. I was holding the camera and I cook.
Enjoy your Sunday,
Holy Crap! Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteWow! You guys really got hit.
I have to say it looks really beautiful - especially with the fall color in the background - but still that is ALOT OF SNOW for October!!!
I hope you are enjoying a nice fire and some hot cocoa!
Candace, you said it...it's very pretty, but wayyyy too early! I saw this on the news yesterday and that's exactly what I thought! Yikes! So glad you are safe. I hope it warms up again so that you can do those things you wanted to do! Your pics are very pretty! Warm hugs!
ReplyDeletehaha! This is the kind of snow we were used to in Taos for sure....up there winter is October til May (sometimes it leaks into June!)....I don't miss the longevity of winter there, for me 2 or 3 months of winter is ample and then I'm ready for Spring
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I usually love the first snowfalls, but not in October :) Good thing you had the camera, LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. So, y'all moved because...? :)
ReplyDeleteI like snow, as long as power is there in the house. Love the white blanket nature put on everything.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Glad you're safe and staying warm.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kat
It is gorgeous! We still haven't had any snow, not one flake, yet this year, so I am quite jealous! Enjoy your winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteOh my. Glad you are safe. You are smart to stay inside.
ReplyDeleteNo. NO. NOOOOO! I refuse to believe it's going to snow soon. NO. But yes, it's pretty from way over here ;)
ReplyDeleteGoodness, snow already...sure is pretty.
ReplyDelete{{hugs}}
I'm so glad you guys are okay and still have power! None of the snow stuck here, thankfully, but you guys definitely got a TON!
ReplyDeleteMy God! Indeed this is too early even for New Hampshire! I wonder how the winter will be if it started snowing so early!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! Although it is quite beautiful, all I can think of is how cold it is there!!!! BRRRRRRRR!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh if only! I wish we even had like a foot of snow- I would settle with that! We do have cold weather finally though- so yeah for that! How much fun to play in the snow- you take amazing pics
ReplyDeleteCute post Candace :). Happy Halloween!

Ahhh!! I can't believe you guys got that much snow already! You're definitely right, it is WAY too early for that! Hopefully it won't stick around too long. But until then, enjoy your winter wonderland - it looks so pretty!
ReplyDeletevery pretty! the snow is so nice and - cool!
ReplyDeleteOh man...that's VERY pretty (she said from the comfort of her 70 degree island!) I hope you get a bit of a thaw this past weekend :)
ReplyDeletehehe, that last photo is fun! glad you just got some pretty snow and didn't have to deal with the power outages!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive....I'm super jealous!!!= )
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!!! It looks like Christmas ... too bad it's Hallowe'en! You certainly aren't in Louisiana anymore ....
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness you guys got a lot of snow! Sure makes for some pretty pictures though!
ReplyDeleteWow, it is hard to believe it is already time for snow. We are still in the 70's but they say a cold front is coming. I am glad to see even though it is cold you are keeping it warm and sunny with fun and smiles.
ReplyDeleteHi Candace, I know everyone thinks it is pretty and of course it is. We just didn't need snow this early and this much. I'm starting to see little patches of grass peaking through the snow now. If the sun keeps shining, maybe we can get the leaves mulched.
ReplyDeleteYay David!
ReplyDeleteWhoaaaaa! I'll NEVER see snow like that in Australia I don't think. I've seen some heavy snowfall in Chicago and a few inches here and there (other than the apparent Snowmageddon I missed last year), but surely never in Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it - it's beautiful! Hope you're well friend x
OMGosh, I had no idea you got that much snow...too early!! Love that picture of David...so funny...and yes, he is a smart man...especially since you could bar the door! :)
ReplyDeleteWe're with you..it's pretty but WAY too early for that much!
ReplyDeleteOur snow was nothing compared to yours. I admit it is beautiful, even though David had to do the shoveling. Tell him to consider the good exercise, he got.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're seeing the nicer weather as we are down here in NJ
ReplyDeleteLOL. Love the cooking part! Cant believe that I still sit here in a blouse only and leaves on the trees!
ReplyDeleteWas looking for this vanilla latte cookies? BTW, I just posted about Cinnamon Souffle!
