THE MORNING AFTER...

That's not a snow bank on the bottom right of this photo.  It's one of our cars.
According to WMUR, anywhere from 3 to 25 inches of snow fell in New Hampshire with this storm.    Over 300,000 people are without electricity according to the utility companies.

We were blessed.   We got a lot of snow; but nothing like other parts of the state.  Our snow event is over here; but it continues to our north.  We are even seeing the sun shine out there right now.

It's really pretty; but it's way too early.  I still have outside things that I want to do.

It's supposed to warm up this week into the 50's and that's a good thing.

We have plenty of snow to melt.
Just ask David.

Doesn't he look like he was having fun?

He was so good to get out there and shovel for us and take some photos for me while I stayed inside and drank coffee and decided what to cook today.   This was not his favorite weekend activity, as you can see.

For the record, I was safe.

There was no way that he was going to throw that snowball at me inside the house.  I was holding the camera and I cook.

Enjoy your Sunday,

I have to say it looks really beautiful - especially with the fall color in the background - but still that is ALOT OF SNOW for October!!!
I hope you are enjoying a nice fire and some hot cocoa!

  3. haha! This is the kind of snow we were used to in Taos for sure....up there winter is October til May (sometimes it leaks into June!)....I don't miss the longevity of winter there, for me 2 or 3 months of winter is ample and then I'm ready for Spring

  23. Wow, it is hard to believe it is already time for snow. We are still in the 70's but they say a cold front is coming. I am glad to see even though it is cold you are keeping it warm and sunny with fun and smiles.

  24. Hi Candace, I know everyone thinks it is pretty and of course it is. We just didn't need snow this early and this much. I'm starting to see little patches of grass peaking through the snow now. If the sun keeps shining, maybe we can get the leaves mulched.

  25. Whoaaaaa! I'll NEVER see snow like that in Australia I don't think. I've seen some heavy snowfall in Chicago and a few inches here and there (other than the apparent Snowmageddon I missed last year), but surely never in Melbourne.

Enjoy it - it's beautiful! Hope you're well friend x

  28. Our snow was nothing compared to yours. I admit it is beautiful, even though David had to do the shoveling. Tell him to consider the good exercise, he got.
