And it's fabulous! I've tried it out already and it worked just as well as I thought it would and the hematite is so pretty. I tried to photograph it in action and all of my pictures turned out blurry. I will keep trying. I am convinced that everyone needs one of these. If it it can hold my big purse and all of its contents, it can hold any bag! Thank you again, Purse Bling!!
I am so happy that you have landed in my little corner of cyberspace. If you join me here, you will, hopefully, get to know a little about me. You will read my thoughts, my hopes and dreams, and see some of my favorite things. I hope you will visit often. I will try to update it regularly and hopefully you will see an improvement in the blog along the way. Thank you for stopping in to see me as I travel on this journey called "life"!

So about the Purse Bling giveaway.....
that was going on over at News Around the Blogs......I won! For the first time in my life, I actually won something. I'm so excited about it too. I was notified that I won and got to pick out the one that I wanted to receive. I chose the Polished Hematite Clipa - Maya. I think it will go very well with any of my purses.
A big thank you to the nice people over at News Around the Blogs and also to the nice people over at Purse Bling for the nice surprise. I got a really sweet note from each of them after I won. After a hard couple of weeks for me, this was one really bright spot! If it works like I think it's going to, I'm thinking it would be a great gift for the ladies in my life!

Nate & Sassy's Granola
I told you about my friend that I was meeting this past Friday for a "play date" after 15 years of not seeing one another. We had a wonderful time. We spent the first three hours at Starbucks just catching up on all that we have missed over the years. After that, we headed to a local outdoor mall to walk around and do some shopping. It was so much fun to be with her again after all these years. We laughed a lot and I hope that this is the first of many play dates. I took a few pictures which she made me promise that I wouldn't post on here so they will just have to stay private.
I did want to tell you about the most amazing granola that she brought me. It's made by a company in Texarkana called Nate & Sassy's. She brought me the Georgia Peach Cobbler which has a wonderful cinnamon peach flavor and a bag of the Hawaiian with Macadamia Nut, a mouthful of tropical goodness. As you can see from our bags, we have really enjoyed them this weekend. We are definitely running low. Nate & Sassy's ships nationwide and you can order online. I think I will have to place an order soon. I am looking forward to trying the White Chocolate Amaretto Coconut and the Dark Chocolate Turtles.........and the Nutty Maple and the Lemon Kissed Wild Blueberry and the Orange Blossom Cranberry and the Green Tea Endurance. Oh just give me one of each! Check out Nate & Sassy's online and give it a try. It's yummy!

My wordle.....
Wordle created here.
One of my favorite blogs written by one of my favorite authors, Angela Hunt, featured a word cloud that she created at Wordle.net. I thought that it was a really cool way to memorialize something that means so much to me. What better thing to use than the vows to my beloved husband?! I think I'm going to print it and frame it so that it is always in front of me.

Purse Bling....
Tonight, I had decided not to post because I really did not have anything ready to share. I have spent the evening doing laundry and catching up on my Google Reader and updating the layout of my blog.
While catching up on my Reader, I came across something that I had to share on here! It's the Clipa Purse Hanger. What an ingenious idea! There have been so many times recently that I could have used one of these. So many restrooms do not have purse holders anymore and who wants to sit their purse down on the nasty bathroom floor. It will also come in handy while grocery shopping. My purse takes up quite a bit of room in my shopping cart and the Clipa Purse Hanger would alleviate that problem.
The folks over at Purse Bling have lots of useful tools to keep the woman on the go stylishly organized! Go check them out and while you are surfing around, go on over and visit my new friends at News Around The Blogs. They are having a giveaway from Purse Bling. You can enter for a chance to win your very own Clipa Purse Clip. I've registered for one. You should too!

So today was another day much like yesterday....
It certainly felt like Monday at the office today. After I spent such a wonderful weekend at home with my husband, going back to work on Monday was hard! Tuesday was no different. It usually takes me until Thursday to get in the groove again and by that time, it's my Friday. Thank God for four day work weeks!
This week is particularly difficult to work because I have so much that I would rather be doing! I've discovered the world of blogging and I am consumed with learning "how to blog". I've been trying to read all that I can about the subject and try to put into practice what I'm reading. I am also spending the day on Friday with a good friend who I haven't seen in 15 years! I am really excited about seeing her and spending some girl time. She and I were roommates for awhile almost 25 years ago and somewhere in the last 15 years we lost touch. So much has happened in that time and we have reconnected via the wonderful World Wide Web. I hope to blog about our meeting and post some pictures.
So back to blogging......I am curious about how those that blog all of the time figure out how to create an attactive blog and how do they choose what they are going to blog about. I have never had a problem finding something to say. Most of it is uninteresting though, I'm sure. I'm pondering tonight "what makes a successful blog?". What do you think? ~C

Gypsy in my soul......
It’s just the gypsy in my soul
Make me pack up my things and go
It may seem like I’m on a roll
But it’s just the gypsy in my soul ....
Make me pack up my things and go
It may seem like I’m on a roll
But it’s just the gypsy in my soul ....
I'm thinking this looks like a great place to begin......

Laying out the blog....
It has been trial and error today in figuring out how to post pictures and how "not to post" pictures. I was not happy when I posted the last post. My pictures were too big and all over the place. They ran into my side "gadgets" and it was just a real mess. Yes, it bugged me. I told you before that I'm a perfectionist and have to have symmetry in my life. I had to resort back to my original template just to make everything fit. I learned a few things in the process though and because I posted something that I wished that I could take back, I think I made some process in gaining some of that freedom that I talked about earlier. I will continue to put myself out there and blog. Thanks for tuning it. It is really beginning to be fun.
Okay....
It is only letting me post one picture at a time and that's frustrating. I uploaded a bunch of pictures and it actually only posted the last one. I'm going to experiment until I figure this out. Any suggestions that you might have would be welcome!
I love it when the dogwood trees bloom down here. To me, they are one of the most beautiful flowers.....
This would be a great place to sit and reflect, don't you think?
This is the love of my life, David......I'm so happy that he was created....and we found each other!
The wildflowers were so pretty today. It was like God just took a paintbrush and just gave it a yellow swipe...
Awwwwwww.......we couldn't resist.......
David picked this flower and put it in my hair and took my picture. He wouldn't let me delete it. Maybe he sees something in me that I don't......I'm so blessed to have him in my life.
It's the simple things in life, I think......
The red clover that they have planted around the area is spectacular.....
There is a little beach area at the park. During the summer this will fill up with swimmers and sunbathers. It is a nice place to cool off on a hot summer day.
The sign on the lifeguard stand cracked me up....
I read something today that I liked....
It went something like this.....
I'm going to think about that for awhile....
To live content with small means, to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion, to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich, to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly, to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart, to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never, in a word to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common, this is to be my symphony. - William Henry Channing
I'm going to think about that for awhile....

Today....
I spent the most amazing day with my husband. We didn't go anywhere special or do anything that someone would really be impressed with. We just hung out at home; but we spent it together and made some memories. My favorite kind of day...... ♥♥♥
