Some of you already know; but, for those of you that do not.....
My last post here was a mistake.
Yep....a mistake.
See, I was trying to decide if I would post that photo in black and white or if I preferred it in color. They both looked good to me and I really couldn't decide. Instead of "previewing" it, I "viewed" it and guess what?
It published.
I had planned to just leave it be for a little while and come back to it later hoping that the decision would be easier. Imagine my surprise when I was scrolling through my Google Reader and found a post at Mi Chiamo Candace. Not only was there a published post; but, there was already a comment by the time that I saw it. I decided to just leave it as a true Wordless Wednesday and share the one in color this week in honor of Ruby Tuesday.
While out driving around Sunapee, New Hampshire a couple of weekends ago, we stumbled upon this barn. I know that I've driven by this barn on a number of occasions. On this particular day, the lighting must have been just perfect as it immediately caught my attention.
So which do you prefer?
Color or Black and White?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I like them both - so I'm sitting on the fence.
ReplyDeleteoh i definitely like the black and white better. It brings an old timey feel to the picture and makes you focus on the different parts of the barn more
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt the Black and White one. The colored one is cool; but there's just something about the black and white. Or maybe it's just cause I'm a fan of black & white photos. Either way, the photo is a great capture. Hugs my friend!~M
ReplyDeleteI like the color picture!! All those different reds are spectacular!! I sure wish I had an eye for pictures like you do!! =)
ReplyDeleteOld barns? I love them in color!! I have such a soft spot for old barns. Took several photos of such just yesterday. :-)
ReplyDeletei like both. the b/w photo makes me think of history but the colored photo brings so much color and emotion.
ReplyDeleteHaha i've done that a few times before :P
ReplyDeleteI like them both actually! The contrast in how they're perceived is really nice. The black and white looks rustic while the color looks cheerful and inviting!
color!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the color, but I think the black & white accentuates the flags.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful barn either way, but we definitely prefer the clack and white.... more evocative. Great photo!
ReplyDeletelove them both, but when i saw the one in color, i gasped! lovely! shocking!
ReplyDeletethanks . . .
I like them both as they give me two diffrent visuals in my head. Two very unique moods also can be depicted from them.
ReplyDeleteGreat job and thanks for posting..
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and let me know your thoughts on the photos! It has been interesting to me to see how both of the photos were perceived.
ReplyDeleteI typically love black and white photos, and yours is no exception. But I also am addicted to that color red. Seriously. It is all over my house...accent walls, pillows, furniture, etc. Your color version is the exact color red that I love. So..because of that, I think I am partial to the colored version. On that note, that picture would look awesome blown up and put in a frame in my son's room! He has a total patriotic theme going in there! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful photo!
they both have their own charm but there's something special about the colours that just draws me!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful old barn and I like the color photo the best. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThis barn looks interesting to me because I hardly find one like that in my country. I like the black and white better. Looks nostalgic!
ReplyDeleteboo, I'm no help because i like them both. no preference here! i can see them both hung in a frame around your home. nothing better than free artwork!
ReplyDeleteI like the color, but the b&w is my fave! I have a fear that I'm going to post something by accident...lots of times I start a post a leave it in draft, or sometimes I go on a rant abt something that I later delete - those are the ones I really don't accidently published!
ReplyDeleteI like the color 1. I haven't been to that area for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI think the color is more powerful just because of the bright colors in the flag and the brightness of the barn. The b&w is nice too, but I think it's more eye-catching in color.
