SPEECHLESS...

I went to Wal-Mart today on my lunch break to try to find a pretty flower pot to put a plant in for a friend and this is what I found in the Garden Center.

Christmas!

It's September 20th.
They can't even wait until Halloween is over?
Seriously?

There were no flower pots to be found.

I don't know what to say.

  1. Halloween stuff was out in August here. Can we ever just live the season we're in? I don't want to hear how many days til Christmas yet either-too early! Thanks for the sweet comment on my post : )

  4. Oh yes, I know. It's just crazy and extremely annoying. Maybe they're rushing us in so they can make a profit before the economy totally collapses.

  5. I know it is crazy. It amazes me how they capitalize on the holiday but heaven forbid if you call it Christmas.

  6. Living in Louisiana I welcome it ... not so much for the commercial aspect, but for the fact that it means our seemingly endless summer is finally coming to an end. Did you already forget how miserable it can be down here? ;)

  9. Not to mention, that we still have Halloween and Thanksgiving before Christmas...Welcome to 2012 sweetie...as each year goes by, the retailers usher in the latest and greatest big $$ making holiday long before the last one even passed. I don't know what to say either...

  10. This is so funny Candace! In my parent's apartment we had above us a woman who started playing at the piano the 'Holy Night' from October and we were making so fun of her. You reminded me of her!

  11. Don't even think about trying to find any poor Thanksgiving decorations! It's a little ridiculous. I love Christmas, but I'm not ready to start decorating in September!

  12. Isn't it awful?!?!? It's like travelling through a worm hole or a time warp or something - just skip over other holidays and seasons, leap right to the behemoth and start the commercialization early. I have enough trouble with time passing too quickly and telescoping, without this!

  13. It is just absolutely ridiculous at how hear Christmas stuff is out. They had more Christmas stuff up at Walmart out here than they did Halloween stuff!! It's just utter nonsense!!

  14. Wow. I refuse to do anything that has to do with Christmas until after Thanksgiving. If everybody else would do that, retailers would get the hint.

  15. I know what you mean girlfriend! Now, even here at the beach, there's Halloween on one aisle and Christmas and fall stuff on others. Crazy!

I'm trying to get back to blogging....

    Hugs,
    Kat

  16. Girl, do I know what you mean. I saw a Christmas store opening here just a few days ago. I can make even less sense of it considering the weather is heating up! Alas.

  17. So funny, because my daughter and my husband went to Walmart last month looking for a Christmas snow globe for a friend thinking the holiday stuff would be out and it wasn't. Guess it's a regional thing, although I'm sure it's out by now. HA!

  18. Another good reason to stay out of Walmart! Pushing Christmas in September - now that's some real greed!
