I got this in email today and
could totally relate to it.
Can you?
It's my first summer in a long time without air conditioning. I'm cranky....but not dying. I've just been spoiled with central air conditioning.
Down south, it's a necessity
...not a luxury.
I'm glad that the heat doesn't last long here. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to make it through.
I hope wherever you are that you are able to keep cool. Have a beautiful weekend and thanks for stopping by!
i actually never turn my A/C on but I'm also perfectly comfortable in 90 degree weather...some weird internal body temp issue. I think you'll make it!
ReplyDeleteoh candace this had me laughing so hard my belly hurts!!! Being pregnant in these summer temperatures is killing me - thanks for the laugh and the smiles....have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteCUTE cartoon! It's been hot all week (for Wisconsin) but has cooled off today after a hard rain.
ReplyDeleteStay cool. :-)
When we lived in St. Louis we didn't have air conditioning and it about killed me! I love, love, love my air conditioner...and my dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteThis is so hilarious! BTW, in Central Europe plus Spain and Portugal we use corn to feed the animals, we do not eat it. Well, rather seldom though! Can you imagine my surprise finding them at the produce section?
ReplyDeleteI've run errands today with the kids and the heat zapped all my strength! Walking in to an air-conditioned house is always a relief. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny. We have been so lucky here in the Bay Area(knock on wood).
ReplyDeleteSo cute I saw this on stumbleupon just adorable!
ReplyDeleteNow that is funny! I can so relate after spending 22 years in Phoenix!
ReplyDeleteIt's so darn HOT. I feel like that ear of corn sometimes when I'm on the tennis court.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Kat
At least you haven't lost your sense of humor :-). I hope the weather breaks for you really soon. Stay cool and have a great evening. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteCall me spoiled, but I can't imagine going through summer w/out AC. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteWe do not have central air either, but we do have window units in our bedrooms. Maybe you could get one of those so you can at least sleep? Don't worry though, the heat doesn't last too long up north. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe cartoon is so funny! I think I looked like that after I did yard work yesterday : )
ReplyDeleteThink igloos and ice cream . . .
Cute comic. You'll be fine in the heat. Then again don't listen to me. I speak in jealousy that you have heat at all - it's dead of winter here! Urgh.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny! The heat not so much. Central a/c here, too, and it been cranking for months. Not a fan of the heat at all. I never once complained when it snowed :)
ReplyDeleteCute funny cartoon this Summer seems to be hot everywhere
ReplyDeleteI love it!! And it is so true here! Heat index around 115!
ReplyDeleteHi Candace,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving that nice comment. And thanks for your prayers for my wife. It's a blessing to have blog friends like you.
Now about that comic...it's so funny! Can I put it on my garden blog? I'd love share it around. We would all be 'popped' by now with this almost rainless summer down here. Hope you get some cool weather soon up there.
BTW: Your Mexican-inspired post made me very hungry. Boy that looks good.
David/ Tropical Texana/ Houston :-)
How funny! I love this! It is true, we get so used to things sometimes that it isn't about the necessity of it but just because it is all we know. hope you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSSSOOOOOO HOT! Glad it cooled off today.
ReplyDeleteLots of yummy love,
