THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Thank YOU so much for all the well-wishes, emails and sweet comments that you have sent to me in the last few days!  I've taken some time off and I feel much better.  I have a little bit of a cough left and some stuffiness but it has been a good and productive weekend.

If you have contacted me in the last few days, you will hear from me personally.  I will be replying back to you in the next day or so.

First, I have a little something to take care of....

Today is Valentine's Day...but more importantly....today is my husband's birthday....

Happy Birthday, David!  I love you so much!
And since this is one of the craziest days of the year, I always make a special meal at home to celebrate instead of trying to fight the crowds for an overpriced, mediocre meal out someplace.  Having said that, I must get busy and start cooking!

Before I get started with that, I can't let this day go by without, also, saying Happy Birthday to the first most influential man in my life...my sweet Daddy!

Daddy in Iran doing what he loved to do....
Yes, he was a Valentine's baby too and a very special man.  Even though it was his birthday, he never let the day pass without doing something special for my mother and for me.....flowers, candy, stuffed animals.....he always had something special for both of us.

Thanks Daddy!  And thank you, God, for the blessing of a wonderful father.  I miss him so much but I wouldn't wish him back for anything.  I will see him again someday and that's enough for me.

So, I hope you all have a wonderful day.  I've got a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting to make and later some Chicken Saltimbocca and risotto and..... well, you get the idea!  I hope it is all yummy!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of the wonderful messages that you have sent me.  Each and every one of you are precious to me and I don't want today pass without telling you that.  I will be back a little later with some stuff to share with you!

Be blessed....

  5. I am glad you are feeling better. What a nice post you wrote for your husband and your father. Your dinner tonight sounds wonderful! We're grilling steak, cuz I hate going to restaurants to get overpriced food that makes me feel horrid. Have a wonderful evening! Happy Birthday to your husband. :-)

  12. I am sooooo glad you are feeling better! I thought of you often but hated to email as I figured you would try to answer and you should have been resting. :-)

Great pics! No accident that you married a man that had the same birthday as your dad...and I'm sure a very similar personality. Good for you!!

Take good care and don't rush things, ok? That stuff really knocks you out.

    xoxo
