July 2012 - Vroom!

I work for a non-profit community mental health agency.   Honestly, there are very few benefits or perks for the employees.   Occasionally, they are able to secure some deals to pass on to the employees and they happily do so.  One of the deals that we were offered this summer were free passes to a race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

David enjoys NASCAR; but he's definitely not what you would call a fan.  NASCAR fans are hard core!  He has always wanted to see a race though so this opportunity was too good to pass up.

The fact that it happened to be held on our anniversary was not ideal; however, we decided to go and make a memory anyway.

It was hot and loud and there were way too many people and lots of traffic.  Having said all of that, it was kind of cool to experience a race and I spent the day my best friend making a memory and that's what it's all about, right?

  1. I've never been to a car race but it's definitely something I wouldn't mind doing someday! Very cool.

  3. Oh, if anyone deserves a perk, it's you cherished folks who work in mental health! Truly, there is a special place reserved in Heaven for you ... :)
