July 2012 - Ruger
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. is a huge part of the community that I live in now. For years, it has been a major employer of the area and the Ruger family made their home here. Now that William Ruger, Jr., son of one of the founders, has retired from the company, he has been selling his real estate holdings in the area and made the decision to sell his antique vehicle collection.
Before they left the area for auction, we were able to get an up close and personal view of them. Here are a few highlights of these gorgeous automobiles.

I always amazed by old cars. Great post.
ReplyDeleteso awesome. We had a 1950 Lincoln that we inherited from my husband's father who was only the 2nd owner (and the first owner only drove it a bit, only 300 original miles on it). It reminded me of a mafiosa car haha, heavy doors, so awesome. When we first got into real estate, my husband's father encouraged us to sell it, and we did....but sometimes I wish we still had it. seeing these brings back good memories.
ReplyDeleteWow! Very cool! It's amazing how different cars look today...
ReplyDeleteThey don't make them like they use to. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh my! If only I could take my 3 yr old there. you have no idea how obsessed he is with cars and old ones in fact. He would love it! How cool is that! I will have to show him the pics? Do they have small souvenirs I wonder that i could order online?
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! It is quite a collection. My dad had one antique car which was his weekend hobby. It was beautiful. I hope you are well. Have a great night!
