I am so happy that you have landed in my little corner of cyberspace. If you join me here, you will, hopefully, get to know a little about me. You will read my thoughts, my hopes and dreams, and see some of my favorite things. I hope you will visit often. I will try to update it regularly and hopefully you will see an improvement in the blog along the way. Thank you for stopping in to see me as I travel on this journey called "life"!

MYM 111812

Star Fruit has always fascinated me.  Until I moved to New Hampshire (oddly enough) I had only read about them and seen them in photos.  I found one at my local market and had to give it a try.  I don't know if the one that I picked was representative of how they are supposed to taste; but, I have to say, that I wasn't a fan.  It made an interesting photo opportunity though.

I'm linking up here with Mellow Yellow Monday for the first time in a long time.  David and I are traveling this week.  Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.  My brother passed away suddenly and this is a difficult time.   I'm on my way to see my Mama.

Take advantage of any opportunities that you have to be with family.  Love without reservation and never neglect to show and to tell your family that you love them.  We are not promised tomorrow and you just never know.

  2. Star fruits are called 'balimbing' from where Im from in the Philippines. They are more known as they aptly describe our politicians (turncoats) more than for how they taste.

My prayers to your family and take care.

  10. OH NO!! I'm SO sorry to hear about your brother. You are so very right, in that tomorrow is not a guarantee. I'm over here freaking out about something so stupid, and reading this makes me realize how unimportant it is. Be safe in your travels, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs*
