My first time...

  4. wow, i haven't tried growing broccoli, but my eggplants, tomatoes, okra and green beans are doing so well. what else did you grow this year?

  18. Candace, this was my first year of growing broccoli successfully too!!! And you are spot on - it tastes amazing! So much better than the store bought. My kids were snipping it off and eating it right in the garden. I love your b & w photo of it!! ;)

  20. Hey, congratulations! That's a winter vegetable down here (of course you know this already), so it's fun to see it as a summer vegetable UP there. I think my biggest garden surprise is how FANTASTICALLY different home grown vegetables taste. My favorite example: green beans....oh my!
